CHILD SUPPORT ANALYSIS
Child Support is subject to change. Some circumstances which might result in a reduction, suspension or termination of support are set forth in the following questions:
- A REDUCTION IN YOUR INCOME
Have you lost your job or experienced a substantial reduction in your income?
(Note: The court may disregard a reduction in income which is the result of your own voluntary actions, such as quitting a high-paying job to take a lesser-paying job or to attend school.)
- ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN BECOMES EMANCIPATED
Is your child support for more than one child stated as a single amount (as opposed to "per child") and one of your children is 21 or "emancipated"?
- COLLEGE
Do you have a child that attends college and lives away from the home of the custodial parent? (Note: Such a circumstance may result in a suspension or reduction of support.)
