The AV rating is a significant accomplishment in that only 12% of all the attorneys in the world have been awarded the designation. - Divorce Magazine provides complimentary monthly seminars for people going through divorce. This is a great resource for anyone in this situation. This month's seminar focuses on the subject "5 Common Mistakes to Avoid for Your Divorce." It will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 7pm Central Time. Find more information here.
- Mark appeared as a guest legal analyst on the new Fox40 and Friends on February 4, and 24 at 8:30 on local channel 6. They have asked him to appear at least monthly! You can view them here.
February was a busy month for Mark making presentations:
- Palm Springs California–Mark successfully presented for three hours to a Los Angeles law firm at their firm annual meeting in Palm Springs on February 11-13. Mark is pictured here with nationally-renowned managing partner of Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, Steve Mindel.
- On February 17 Mark presented to the Madison County Bar on “Proper Closing of a Case.”
- Also on February 17, Mark as a presented for the NBI Institutue on the topic of “Closing the Divorce Case.”
- Finally, Mark served as an adjunct professor at Mississippi College School of Law on February 24, on the topic of Mediating the Family Law Case. Matthew Thompson assisted Mark with the presentation.
- Mark has been named to the Board of Clinical Advisors of ParentRise, an organization providing resources, classes, and consulting services for single parents. Check out his article on their website entitled "Settle Your Divorce and Save Money."
- Mark published an article entitled "Divorce Dirty Tricks" on womansdivorce.com. Read it here.
Firm “Blawgs” Our firm has a written blawg published every Monday (“blawg” is a legal blog). This blawg generally covers important points of family law. The firm publishes a video blog every Wednesday on topics pertaining to life lessons learned by Mark Chinn during 33 years of law practice. - Mark is proud to announce his daughter Carly started for the Jackson Academy Basketball team which won both the AAA District and State Tournaments in February. Carly was selected to the All Tournament Team in both tournaments!
